Turning On The PC
Turn on the computer installed by the Biosite engineer. This computer will be used to register operatives at your site and take their fingerprints and photographs.
Understanding different account types
If you are an administrator of the Biosite Access Control system for your site your username will be your email address.
Operatives usernames will be a combination of first name, last name, and a number. Operatives can not log into this computer directly only the online induction
Organisation Administrators will upload details of their operatives details to the Biosite Access Control system before operatives arrive at the site.

Log in to the computer
If you already have a portal account you can use the same login details to log in to the local PC.
Note: all Biosite user names and passwords are case-sensitive. If one or the other has one digit wrong you will not be able to log in.
Holding Pen
The holding pen will stop people accessing site who do not meet certain criteria.
These include;
- Expired Credentials
- Expired Training
- Lack of Mandatory Training
- Failed Competency Requirements
- Enforce Briefing due dates
- Number of days not seen at site
- These settings can be switched on or off in line with site policy

Anti Pass Back
This feature prevents contractor operatives from letting non-registered operatives through turnstiles. This does not apply to staff members.
Auto Clock Out
The Biosite Access Control System will automatically clock people out of the system should they exit the site via an unauthorised route. It can be set at a specific time each day or alternatively after fixed number of hours.
Site Monitor
The site monitor will display the status of the access control system. It shows how many people are on site and if the hardware is working correctly. Green icons are confirmation that things are working correctly and red icons indicate a fault that should be reported to the support team for investigation.

Used to clock in and out of a building site where physical barriers are not being used
Card Reader
Used as an alternative to fingerprints or facial recognition systems
Facial Recognition Device
Used as a non contact method to provide access to site

Phone based app to clock people in and out of site and award training
