The purpose of this guide is to demonstrate how to add a new user to the Site PC when they arrive at a site without an induction code.
- In the Site PC click on Add/Verify User
- You may need to read through a privacy policy, then click Next.
Capture fingerprints
We recommend that you capture a minimum of 4 fingerprints. The minimum amount of fingerprints you have to capture will be set up at the implementation stage when your portal is set up. Contact your Biosite Champion (the person who manages Biosite for your company) if you would like to make any suggestions around fingerprint capture.

- Ensure the glass is clean and free from dirt which may corrupt a subsequent image.
- Ensure that alcohol gels are used to improve the quality of the image and to protect against Covid-19 infections
- Click the + and place a finger on the reader unit
- Remove finger when advised
- Repeat for other fingers.
- User Type - Categorise the user and allocate access rights using the access group settings
- These roles will have been created during the implementation phase of your portal setup
- The current date and time will display, this is when the onboarding is valid
- Click the calendar icon to change the date if required
- If it is necessary to end the access at a point in the future select a date from the valid until section
- If this is left blank the user will have access till the end of the project.
- Select Add Operative
- You may read the operatives card using the card reader or type in the operatives name and date of birth and click Next.
Merging profiles
- If the user has registered with their biometric at another site their details will display. Any sensitive data will not display such as gender or ethnicity

- Click the checkbox and then the blue Merge Profiles icon bottom right to merge the profiles into one new one.
If the user has previously been issued report cards, a blue banner will display. You may click on this if you would like to see issued report cards.
- Otherwise if no user is found click Create new profile
- Click Take Photo
- The system will advise about the quality of the photograph. Re-take until satisfied
- Note: good images are more reliable at the turnstile - poor ones may cause access issues
- Click Next
- All the non-sensitive data collected during the online induction will be displayed
- Fill in all the missing data (RED fields are mandatory)
- Once you have entered all the correct data click Next.
The Site tab is used to collect data that is site-specific
- Fill in Basic Trade to identify the reason why the operative is on-site
- Select the mode of transport and click estimate to establish the distance travelled to the site. This facilitates carbon reporting
- Click Next.
- Click through the tabs and then click Save to finalise the process
- These screens are all configured at your implementation stage when setting up your portal. Contact your Biosite Champion (the person who manages Biosite for your company) if you would like to make any suggestions around fingerprint capture.
