When you login as an operative you will shown the summary screen of the training hub.
If the Biosite online portal has been configured for right to work checks you will be shown a Right to work checks information panel outline what state your right work checks are in.
If you have never complete the right to work check process through Biosite and PPAC this information panel will inform you that you will need to prove your right to work checks. Clicking the Start button will take you through the right to work checks screen
On the right to work checks screen you will be presented with information regarding what you need to do next.
The Biosite online portal will require to enter your PPAC code that you will receive during the PPAC right to work check process. This needs to be recorded on your profile to link the two systems together to ensure the correct information is sent by PPAC to the Biosite online portal.
The information panel at the top of the screen provides links to the PPAC iOS and Android apps for you to download and complete the PPAC right to work check process.
During the process you will be asked to enter a company prefix code. This prefix is unique to each Biosite online portal and is displayed in the green box to highlight.
Once you complete the PPAC right to work status you will receive a code. This code will need to recorded in the PPAC code input on this screen.
Due to the length of time a right to work check can take, you may need to login to the Biosite online portal a few days later to enter the code.
When entering the PPAC code it is critical that that your surname, date of birth, and PPAC code all correctly match between Biosite and PPAC. If they do not, you will unable to save your PPAC code to your operative profile and you will need to ensure that your surname and date of birth is correct before trying again.
Once you have successfully saved your PPAC code your right to work check status will update in the Biosite online portal to in one of the following states:
- Pending
- Rejected
- Expired
- Verified online
- Verified in-person
The summary information in the training hub and the detailed right to work checks page will update to show you more information about the state that your right to work check is in.
Pending
If PPAC are still in the process of completing your right to work check you will be shown information in the training hub and right to work checks screen indicating that you are in this state and to contact PPAC for further information.
Once the right to work check is completed PPAC will automatically notify the Biosite online portal of the outcome.
If your right to work check is in this state you will not be able to complete the online induction.
Rejected
If PPAC has been unable to confirm you have a right to work in the UK you will be shown information in the training hub and right to work checks screen indicating that you will need resolve the issue with PPAC.
If you genuinely have a valid right to work in the UK, a rejection may just be that PPAC have been unable to verify it using the documentation you supplied.
If your right to work check is in this state you will not be able to complete the online induction.
Expired
If you have time-based permission to work in the UK your right to work check may have an expiry. When that expiry date is reached your right to work check will automatically move into an expired state.
You will be required to complete a new right to work check through PPAC.
If your right to work check is in this state you will not be able to complete the online induction.
Verified online
If PPAC are able to verify digitally that you have a right to work in the UK from the documentation supplied you will be in the verified online state.
You may be required to present physical documentation at site on arrival to be further reviewed to complete an in-person right to work check.
If you have time-based permission to work in the UK the expiry will be shown.
If your right to work check is in this state you will be able to complete the online induction.
Verified in-person
If you had your right to work checked in-person and recorded in PPAC you will be in the verified in-person state.
If you have time-based permission to work in the UK the expiry will be shown.
If your right to work check is in this state you will be able to complete the online induction.
