To diagnose why a user cannot gain access to site follow the below steps
1. First on the 'Main Menu' check that the site license has not expired, and the site pc has a active internet connection.

2. Look at the 'Site Monitor' this will highlight any access control issues, you want to look for the below access events
Red | Access Denied | displays when a user has been restricted from accessing the site by report card or holding pen. |
Amber | User Not recognised | shows when a user attempts to access the site however they have not been recognised |
Site monitor information is available without logging in
From the Main Menu select either of the two Site Monitor icons
- The first page displays the numbers on site, if you have more than 1 zone you will also see the zone breakdown
- The bottom half of the screen displays access events.
Access Events
The access events show when operatives have entered or left the site.
Events Colour | Meaning | Usual Event |
Green | Access Granted | shows when a user has successfully entered or left the site via your access control. |
Red | Access Denied | displays when a user has been restricted from accessing the site by report card or holding pen. |
Amber | User Not recognised | shows when a user attempts to access the site however they have not been recognised |
Blue | Manual Movement/Auto Clockout | shows when a user has been automatically clocked out or manually moved from the zone |
- Clicking on each line will display the operative's photo, name, organisation, and trade.
Access Events trouble shooting
3. If the operative access event is showing in Red with Access Denied then you will need to review the operative account in the holding pen.

3a. if the operative access event keeps showing Amber with User Not recognised then ensure the reader being used is clean, also try to recapture the user fingerprint of profile picture if facial recognition is being used.
For facial recognition ensure only the one person is visible in the photo and is of good quality
