Merge portal accounts - 8.157.0 (31/03/2023)

There are three User Account Types

If you are adding a second account for someone that already has a different account type using the same email address there may be a need to merge the accounts together. 

Merging portal accounts 

Scenario 1. Existing Organisation Admin Account  adds an operative account for the same person.

Add the operative normally

The Biosite System will automatically merge the two accounts provided they are both in the same organisation.

Scenario 2. Existing Operative Account adds an Organisation Admin account

When you try to add a new Organisation Admin account the system will show this error message because the email address is already in use else buy an operative account.

To resolve this you will need to return to the operative account summary and change the email address to something different and click save 

Then re-try to add a new Organisation Admin account in the normal way 

Once you have added the Organisation Admin Account return to the Operative Account Summary and correct the email address to the correct one

A button will appear under the email address inviting you to transfer the account to the other account on the system so merging the two accounts. This gives them both the same username. Click the new button and save
